Product Description

This Agility range of fly reels has been developed to compliment the Agility rods range. These die-cast aluminum reels are strong, reliable and extremely competitive.

These reels feature

Strong Die-cast Aluminum construction
CNC machined handle knob
Large Arbor spool design with push button spool release
Convertible left / right hand retrieve
Strong and smooth drag system

Details

The Agility fly reels come in three sizes:

A 3.2" (8cm) diameter reel for AFTM 3-4 weight fly lines (plus backing line)
A 3.5" (9cm) diameter reel for AFTM 5-6 weight fly lines (plus backing line)
A 4.0" (10cm) diameter reel for AFTM 7-8 weight fly lines (plus backing line)

#3-4 reel weighs 180g
#5-6 reel weighs 190g
#7-8 reel weighs 200g

All the reels are large arbor around 1.6" (4cm) wide and have a finely adjustable disc drag system which can be easily changed over for left or right hand winding.

CONSTRUCTION

These fly reels have a strong die cast metal reel body and spool. The open cage design makes it easy to change lines while the disc drag system is smooth and finely adjustable.

OUR OPINION

Shakespeare's Agility fly reels are strong and robust reels that have been designed to look good and perform well for years to come. The high performance disc drag and sealed bearing deliver a nice smooth actioned fly reel that is capable of handling just about any fish you're ever likely to catch.

These strong construction and aluminium alloy used in these reels will nicely balance the longer Agility rods used for reservoirs and stillwaters. They are maybe a little on the heavy side for using with short lightweight nymphing rods.

All in all these are good strong fly reels that perform well and are reliably made. What more could you ask for at these kind of prices?
